Course Description
This qualification is the natural next step for those who have completed their Level 3 Diploma and are in a role where they have supervisory responsibility for others. The Level 4 Diploma is applicable to a variety of roles, where workers have key responsibilities for delivery of care and support and/or a level of supervisory responsibility for others, such as; Lead Adult Care Worker, Senior Care Assistant and Team Leaders. The Level 4 Adult Care Diploma is specifically designed for Care Coordinator and Senior Carers in a supervisory position who are in Adult Care and may work in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres, a person’s own home or some clinical healthcare settings.
This qualification enables learners to demonstrate and develop the skills and knowledge required within a role which has some autonomy, delegated responsibility or where there is a need for supervision of others. This will include the main tasks and responsibilities of your role; dignity and human rights; communication; Safeguarding; Health and wellbeing; Professional development.

How Does Assessment Take Place?
Once we receive your first payment, you will be enrolled onto your course, assigned your tutor, and booked onto an induction. Throughout your course, your tutor will be there to guide you through the course material (via online meetings) and help you in anyway they can with your assessments. 80% of the course uses online learning, the remaining 20% uses Work Place Observation. This is where your Tutor will observe you, working in a care setting, undertaking a range of supervisory and managerial tasks to ensure you are implementing your learning.
Duration
The course is flexible and we encourage students to learn at their own pace. We stipulate that candidates complete the course within 12 months.
